Studio Etiquette

It is recommended that you arrive 15 minutes prior to class to ensure you 1. have a space in class and 2. have a chance to say hi and a quick chat before you settle in to class.

Latecomers miss out on the importance of the beginning exercises and poses as well as disrupt the class.

Check in at reception.  If you are new, fill out a new student registration form.

Take off your shoes, turn off your mobile phone, relax and enjoy your class. You deserve it.

An empty stomach is recommended for a comfortable class experience. Most find it best to wait two to three hours after a meal or a half hour after a light snack or drink.

Avoid sipping water during class, but drink plenty afterwards.

Bare feet are recommended for all classes.

Practice rooms have cubbies and areas where you can store your belongings and shoes during class.  It is advised that you do not bring valuables with to class; bms is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

While waiting for your class to start in the main studio, please wait in the downstairs area .

Please remember to keep your conversation level low as not to disturb those in class.

We ask that you help us maintain a fragrance-free environment.  Please refrain from wearing any perfumes or scented body products.

Shower facilities are available - towels & hairdryer provided.  During peak times, please keep shower time to a minimum.

We provide all equipment and mats for your use. You are welcome to supply your own mat.

Talk to your teacher. If you’re new we encourage you to arrive early.  We'll introduce you to the teacher and please let the teacher know of any injuries or conditions that are of concern or if you will need to leave early.
